Manipogo
Sources
This episode is mostly based on primary source material, especially the Winnipeg Free Press and Winnipeg Tribune. Some of the sightings are taken from John Warms’ book Strange Creatures Seldom Seen.
Another October, another episode about a Manitoba Myth! We’re talking about our very own lake monster who resides in Lake Manitoba…or Lake Winnipeg…or possibly Lake Winnipegosis. Manipogo is six feet long or maybe forty feet long, and it’s black but maybe actually green and slimy. Oh, but it definitely has a head like a horse. Or a lamprey.
In this episode we talk about historic sightings of the creature and our good friend Kimber helps us theorize about what folks might be seeing.
